Why this site exists
If you’ve ever searched for property management software as a small landlord, you’ve probably noticed the problem: almost every “best software” list is written by the software companies themselves, or by sites paid to rank whichever tool bids highest. Independent, honest comparison is surprisingly hard to find.
Landlord Software Hub exists to fix that. We’re an independent resource that helps small and independent landlords — people managing anywhere from one unit to a small portfolio — find the right tools without wading through marketing spin.
What makes us different
We don’t sell software. We have no product of our own to push, so we have no reason to favor one tool over another except how well it actually serves you.
We list the cons. Every tool has weaknesses. You’ll find them on every review here, including for the tools we recommend most highly. A review without drawbacks isn’t a review — it’s an advertisement.
We focus on small landlords specifically. Most comparison sites are written for enterprise property management companies with hundreds of units and dedicated staff. Their advice — and the expensive software they recommend — is wrong for someone self-managing a handful of rentals. We only cover what makes sense for your situation.
We keep it current. Software pricing and features change constantly. We date our reviews and update them, and we always tell you to verify current pricing on the provider’s own site before signing up.
How we make money
This site is free to use, and we keep it that way through affiliate commissions. When you sign up for some of the tools we review through our links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This never influences our rankings, our recommendations, or the honest pros and cons we publish. You can read more on our Affiliate Disclosure page.
Our review process
We evaluate each tool on five things: total real cost (including fees the marketing pages don’t highlight), ease of use for someone who isn’t a property management professional, the core feature set (rent collection, tenant screening, leasing, accounting), the quality of the mobile experience, and what verified users say on independent platforms like G2, Capterra, and real landlord communities.
